Some days on my way to the train I look up and see some kind of sacred conversation between the sky and the water and the mountains. And my town transcends the suburbs and the rush hour and the date on the calendar for those minutes I'm able to stare in the early quiet. Until the bells clang and lights flash and I'm called away. When I get back the whole scene is a shroud of darkness. And it's almost like it never happened.
