Meet Radar. Radar is the neighbour's cat so I was a little taken aback when she popped her head into my TV room. She must have slipped in when the door was open and here we were about 4 hours later and she seemed as comfortable as a long-time roommate. Only cats could stealthily inhabit a place for hours without being detected. They would make great spies. A dog couldn't do that. Most dogs are more like aggressive sales people who can't wait to introduce themselves. Dogs greet everyone - man and beast - like old friends whether they've met them before or not. Cats are suspicious. You feel a special pride when you think you've won them over. Radar eventually left when I reopened the door. But she seemed in no great rush. She hesitated there on the threshold and said a few words before sauntering out. She could have been saying "see you soon." or "so you're kicking me out?". God only knows
