The sign said "Only tigers can smoke here." Which is a lot better than just showing a cigarette struck through with a line. Why the rabbit is abetting the tiger's smoking habit isn't explained. But I appreciate the randomness of such public service announcements that have the air of mythology. Korea, like other Asian countries and some European ones, employs an army of hand-drawn creatures to make the job of informing the people what to do and when to do it a lot more enjoyable. Little penguins point to light switches, garlic bulbs give you a thumbs up, cuddling coffee mugs with legs show you where to get a cup of Joe. Aside from being cute, the figures soften the landscape and make environments more welcoming even if the shopkeepers behind them are sometimes stone faced or seem indifferent.
