By an accident of history I have lived my whole life in the age of logos. They are everywhere and seem to grow more ubiquitous by the day. When my family would take road trips to the United States it was something I noticed almost right after we crossed the border. The corporate logos, like the huge waving US flags, lorded over us. Bigger and more iconic than the ones at home. On the remotest stretches of highway they almost feel like they're  a part of Nature; springing from the ground and towering above the trees. In the dark foreboding landscape they become a welcome sight. Civilization spelled out in giant illuminated letters.
