Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the UN today. Before he spoke the camera found him in his seat listening to the other speakers, but also clearly far away. His face bore all the anxieties of the past year and a half of struggle. He was elsewhere than in that hall, understandably. When he was at the podium speaking, though it was as if he was in a righteous trance. Every fibre of his being was engaged in the struggle to sway his audience towards what he knew was for him a clear and irrefutable truth: that the world was in an existential struggle. And many of us just didn't know it yet.
