There's a concept the Japanese refer to as "forest bathing", which can sound like a kind of hippie nonsense but it's for real. If you let the forest hit you just so it really works. You enter some other realm, which is always surprising because it's been there all along. And it's always the right decision to get up off the chair you're sitting in and walk on leaves and dirt and reward your keen eye by catching a glimpse of a bird mid flight or marvel at the vivid green of the moss thriving on a fallen branch. It's a walk way back to some primitive version of yourself.
