This is by an artist who knits sweaters for plants, plays music for birds to listen to, builds houses for hermit crabs and makes little vehicles for houseplants so that they can move on their own power to find sunlight and water. Kind of absurd but my kind of artist. There's a glut in my opinion of usefulness in our culture and efficiency to make the gears of capitalism glide more smoothly. Enough of that. I heard that years ago when they found a single hummingbird who missed its chance to migrate south and was stuck in Alaska, they flew it on a commercial flight to California. Neil Young, one of the best guys in Rock, once recorded an album of electronica called Trans that left everyone a little baffled and was a commercial flop. It turned out it was his way of trying to communicate with his son, who had cerebral palsy and was non-vocal. More of these kinds of things, please.
