The aesthetic of old ads and film posters is an endless source of fascination for me. How old printing processes that were once state of the art look so dated. Ideas too, about how to make a case for an idea or feeling can hit differently. Either laughably inappropriate or maybe directly effective to our eyes without the layers of cautious self awareness. This poster is making a point to 1974 Korea that you'd think shouldn't have to be made. It's telling young parents to treasure their girls as much as their boys and not play favourites.. Progress on this front is spotty and uneven all over the world but it's not as quaint an idea as it should be
