The nice thing about knowing someone well is the discovery of things they like, and the excitement you get with finding those things and sharing them. It can be a film or a song or a street...a certain aesthetic you share or even one you don't fully. This cafe in Seoul sprawling over two adjacent buildings and different floors hits my sweet spot of an old 20th century building that's been renovated and left alone in its beautiful decay in all the right places. The stone walls and wooden beams are left exposed in their perfection and the added touches, like that bird print you see accent the overall effect instead of detracting from it. It's a love letter to an older generation written in a young person's hand.
