What to make of a dog that doesn't bark? It seems completely at ease with its environment living in these dignified surroundings at the end of a long leash that sometimes get tangled in the chair legs. It's very curious about the little dog who came to visit barking its head off. No matter. Its dog expression remains unchanged.  Like a canine Seneca taking the world in and accepting it at face value. It's other cohabitant on the other side of the room, big and fluffy seemed equally unmoved until it let out a big "woof" to announce itself. But this little guy kept silent the whole time and made me feel a little calmer and happier just being around him.
